This symposium will focus on Microbial Genetic Engineering, aiming to convene leading scientific forces to delve into cutting-edge theories and applied technologies in microbial gene editing. The discussions will center on three key themes:
1. Mechanisms of Gene Editing: Breakthroughs in microbial gene-editing tools have been achieved in recent years, yet the underlying molecular mechanisms remain enigmatic. The symposium will explore the functional principles of gene-editing tools and their potential applications in microbial systems.
2. Development of Novel Gene-Editing Tools: With advancements in CRISPR and related technologies, the creation of new gene-editing tools has become pivotal to driving progress in this field. The event will showcase the latest innovations and their prospects in microbial engineering.
3. Biotechnology and Industrial Applications: Microbial gene editing is increasingly utilized in medicine, agriculture, environmental remediation, and beyond. The symposium will address strategies for translating fundamental research into practical solutions to foster industrial innovation and sustainable development.
