The teaching team is spearheaded by over a dozen world-class senior professors including a fellow of the Canadian Royal Academy of Sciences, a member of the German Academy of Sciences, serving as academic leaders. More than 60 key members form the science and education team including recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the Yangtze River Scholars, experts from the national key talent introduction programs, and "Four Youth" talents. The core of young faculty members was trained and educated from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, the University of Cambridge, University of Munich, Harvard University, the University of California, Berkeley, and Duke University, with a scientific background ranging from biology, physics, chemistry, medicine to informatics.
The Faculty of Life and Health Science is in line with the Ministry of Education's "Reinforce the Foundation Plan," to implement the concept of "integration of science and interdisciplinary collaboration." It is a team with international experience and background from China, Germany, Canada, and the United States providing expertise in physiology, molecular biology and biochemistry, medicine, physics, chemistry, computer science and technology, and materials science both for teaching and. The college places the emphasis on the promotion of young talents and is actively recruiting domestic and international talents to even further optimize the faculty team to assemble a top-level teaching team.
